The Assisted Living Facility is located in Asheville, North Carolina with a view of the mountain range. The client wanted the feeling of the space to mirror the view of the mountains that is seen on the South side of the building. The designer was inspired by the colors of the mountain range during the Fall season. The oranges, reds, greens and tans evoke the feeling of warmth, home and coziness. 

The use of color and shape throughout the space help create unity and variety. Curved walls create cozy lounges that still allow for nurses to see the residents at all times. There are no dead ends within the facility to allow residents the freedom to walk around and not get lost. Overall, the space is designed with the residents and their needs in mind.
